DC • Vision Goal Boarding

February 27 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

$22 – $25

WASHINGTON DC CHAPTER • Attend our monthly meetings and enjoy wine and other refreshments, delicious snacks, and the most awesome women business owners you can connect, collaborate, and have some laughs with in Washington DC!

February's meeting is not your traditional meeting but it's one that needs to be had after much discussion with the women entrepreneurs and businesswomen around. What is a vision board? "Creating a visual representation of what you envision for your life. It allows you to define and clarify your aspirations, reinforce them and keep your intentions focused"

For Yasmine, Vision Boarding is more than just pasting pretty pictures to a board. You are encouraged to write down SMART goals and find images that represent those goals. Sounds simple enough but often times some people end up creating a collage of meaningless pretty images or unreachable goals."It is important to take the task seriously and to only put images that truly present whatever goal you are working on."- Yasmine

Come hear Yasmine's success story through vision boarding while you create your own.

  • Walk away with a visual plan to accomplish your goal or goals for the year
  • Networking with other amazing women entrepreneurs and business women
  • Possible Business Collaborations

Yasmine Owoolabi earned her MBA from UMUC. She is Brand Ambassador, Event Host, Speaker, Social Media Consultant, Creative Director, Digital Content Producer, and Vision Board specialist. Yasmine started her fashion and beauty blog Darkerberrie.com in 2016. Through sharing her own personal stories it became much more than that. In 2016 she found herself struggling career wise while finishing up her MBA. She had also just ended a 7-year relationship and was mourning the death of her father. At the time she wasn't motivated to do anything. During this time she stumbled across the movie "The Secret" based on the book written by Rhonda Byrne. Here is where she was introduced to Vision Boards to display your goals. Shortly after she created her first vision board and to her surprise she was able to pull herself out of her low point and start accomplishing the goals she had set for herself on her vision board.

This meeting takes place at a member's home in the Sheperd Park-Brightwood neighborhood in DC. Address will be given when you purchase a ticket.
